About "The Olde Farmstead"
The
Olde Farmstead is a truly unique
country store located in three
of ohio's most prominent shopping malls, The Fairfield Commons Mall,
The Polaris Fashion Place, and The Prime Outlet Mall. We are a family
owned store that specializes in
country decorating items for
your home as well as quality
country gifts for every
occasion. We have taken the old
country store concept and
brought it to the mall where it
is accessible for everyone’s
shopping pleasure. The displays
in our stores will give you
exciting new ideas of how to
decorate your home with the
latest and very best that
country has to offer.
 
We have custom built premium pine furniture available in all three of our stores. It is available in a primative or a lacquer finish as well as many colors to fit your home's decor.  These pieces are custom built in southern Ohio at very reasonable prices.We offer shelves of many designs and sizes, granny and jelly cabinets, trash containers, standing cabinets, corner cupboards, and several media centers to fit any size television. We have found our furniture to be not only beautiful, but also very practical and durable for many years of enjoyment.
Our
stores feature the original bun
candles and primitive
hand-poured candles in many
sizes and scents to provide you
with the charm and fragrance of
burning candles. We
 also
carry a full line of the
McCall's
Country Canning jar candles in
three sizes. Warm Glow cake
candles with matching scented
potpourri and oils are also very
popular. The Keepers of The
Light candles in papa, mama, and
baby jars are another featured
candle
line in our stores. In
addition, we have many different
glass cylinders, metal
candleholders and wooden trays
to complement any candle chosen.
We have a special room dedicated to children's gifts and toys. We have a large selection of children's books and puzzles and stuffed animals. Our squeaky shoes are very popular as well as the Sleep Sheep and Friends. Recently we have added a neat line of John Deere toys including many tractors, a flashlight, and even a toy lawnmower. You will find an excellent assortment of quality childrens items in all three of our stores.
 We
also have a section for
Willyraye Studio Collectibles
which feature many new and
different pieces. If you are
looking for linens, you will be
glad to know that we have a
whole section of placemats,
tablecloths, valences, throws,
runners, shower curtains, and
many other quilted items. We
also have braided placemats,
runners, stair treads, chair pads,
and area rugs available in many
colors and patterns. In each
store we have two complete
displays of wall border that is
priced very reasonable and will
enhance any room in your house.
Free samples are available to
make sure you secure the border
that best works for your décor.
We
carry Lang Graphics greeting
cards, boxed note cards,
notepaper, calendars, Christmas
cards, gift boxes, seven stack
boxes, jewelry boxes, and other
great gift
ideas. In our
kitchen area you will find
Bennington pottery, Carlson
Pewter dinnerware, and
Tippecanoe And Tyler Too pottery
that is handcrafted right in
Tipp
City, Ohio. For your
entertaining pleasure, we have
Country Home Creations dip
mixes, and Sheila’s Select soup
mixes. We also have recipe cards
and boxes, and all the latest
Gooseberry Patch cookbooks. We
even have something for men!
Our sports section is filled
with golf balls and an
assortment of frames and gift
items for volleyball, soccer,
baseball, football, hockey, and
basketball enthusiasts.
As
you decorate your home, you will
be thrilled to see the framed
art that is displayed throughout
the stores. We carry prints by
Warren Kimble and Robert
Duncan. Local Ohio artists
include Barbara Jeffords, Diane
Schwartz, Deb Strain, Elizabeth
Gilkey,
 and
David Harden. In
addition, we have many
delightful wooden signs that
convey heartfelt messages as
well as grace your walls with
distinction. We offer floor
and table lamps as well as several
styles of chandeliers for your
lighting needs. If you are looking
for berry garland, candle rings
and wreaths you will be pleased
with our large offering in many
sizes and colors. Just as your home
reflects the various seasons
of the year, you will find the
displays and merchandise in
our stores often changing as
well.
For the fall season we have
gourds in all sizes and shapes
and pumpkins from grapevine
to resin to give you many choices
to decorate for this beautiful
season. As Christmas approaches
our stores will be beautifully
lighted by over 20 twig trees
of various sizes and shapes
that are available for purchase
year round. Each tree features a
distinctive theme including:
s’mores, sports, hobbies,
Americana, and teacher. We
will have many unique gift ideas
that will make shopping for
that special person in your life
easy. We also have
gift certificates available in
any amount and offer bridal
registry.
We
encourage you to visit one of
our stores as soon as possible.
Our employees are eager to help you with your decorating and
gift giving needs. We are open
from 10 to 9 weekdays and 12
to 6 on Sundays for your shopping
convenience and we have
extended hours during the
holiday hours.
History
The
Olde Farmstead was started in
the fall of 1998 at the
Fairfield Commons Mall. Having
farmed and lived in the country
all our lives, we were always
looking for good quality and
different country items to
decorate our homes. We
often found country stores to
be in out of the way places
and open only a few hours a
day.
This is what is truly unique
about our stores which are
located in major malls that are
easily reached and have extended
shopping hours. All three of our stores feature over 3000
square feet of well lighted, well stocked, beautifully displayed
merchandise for your shopping enjoyment.
